The 3rd album from Scottish indie 5-piece Frightened Rabbit is lighter than their previous work, and has been described as “less brutal” than their early material. However, ‘The Winter Of Mixed Drinks’ still deals with the themes of loneliness and isolation, although less focused on composerScott Hutchinson himself. This is the 1st album to feature new member Gordon Skene, who joined the group to play various instruments and help reproduce their studio sound in a live setting.
