‘Saturday’ is Brit Pop band Ocean Colour Scene’s ninth studio album and marks the 21st anniversary of their formation in 1990. After touring with Oasis in 1995 and chart success with ‘Moseley Shoals’, Ocean Colour Scene continued to release new material as well as a stem of successful live albums. ‘Saturday’ continues with the band’s brand of retro orientated rock and was recorded at the iconic Rockfield studios.

Journey – Greatest Hits

Journey release a new music album, Greatest Hits, on the 1st February 2010



Along with Styx and REO Speedwagon, Journey ruled the charts and radio airwaves in the early ’80s. And like the aforementioned bands, Journey began in the ’70s, so obviously the compilers of its 1988 GREATEST HITS release had a lot of material to choose from.
Journey’s sound was a merger of hardrock, compliments of guitarist Neal Schon, and the melodic pop/ballads of singer Steve Perry. This resulted in such classic rock radio staples as “Any Way You Want It”, “Separate Ways”, “Open Arms”, “Don’t Stop Believin’”, “Wheel in the Sky”, and “Who’s Crying Now”, all included here.

Laura Veirs releases a new music album, July Flame, on the 25th January 2010



This seventh album from the Portland, OR indie-folk singer songwriter is the follow-up to 2007′s ‘Saltbreakers’ and sees her moving back to cult UK indie label Bella Union after three albums for Nonesuch. Named for a variety of peach, it’sa more stripped-down, folky affair performed primarily by Veirs herself and featuring a variety of “oddball tunings”. Recorded in the barn behind her house with her long-time producer Tucker Martine, it includes vocal contributions from Jim James of My Morning Jacket.
